Ghost Rodeo

Floating somewhere between Americana and indie rock, Ghost Rodeo sings about roads, heartbreak, and ethereal planes. They have materialized in various forms over the past decade, and are currently riding again with the release of their EP “Up Above the City”.
Cat Casual and the Final Word

Cat Casual is William Benton, a guitarist/bassist/vocalist based in New York. With his band The Final Word, Benton writes and performs psyche-inspired rock that ranges from dark, furious experimentalism to haunting, melodic melancholia. Listen to Terrorboss.
Open Blue

Spearheaded by singer/songwriter Evan Moore, Open Blue toes the line between the antique and the immediate. Pulling from Moore’s Texan background and love for the 60s folk revival, Open Blue lands on a freewheeling indie folk and alt country approach. Listen to live to cassette.
Mariela Flor Olivo

Texas born and raised, Mariela’s voice and lyrics pour unfiltered from her heart. Whether part of her previous group Camp Bedford or as a solo artist, she’ll make you sing along on occasion or earnestly invite you to listen, relate, and feel.

I’m a creep! I’m a weirdooooo… I DO belong here! A comedy open mic for anybody who’s ever been described as slightly off-putting.
Every Sunday at 3pm. 3 minutes for standup, 4 for characters, and 5 for everybody if Mark Duplass shows up. One drink minimum to perform.

The Open Mic at Pete’s has been running for almost 25 years and has provided a springboard for many a New York performer, now booking gigs around the city and beyond. Join host Bruce Martin in Pete’s intimate music room for a lively night of performances.
Every Sunday at 5pm. Sign up is at 4pm and music starts at 5pm. One drink minimum to perform.
Stephen Sunshine

Stephen Sunshine is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and music producer from New York City. A full-time troubadour, Sunshine performs around 160 shows a year, putting putting on a warm and engaging solo show. Listen to Honey Reckoning.
Ava French

Ava French writes intimate and emotional pop. The young singer-songwriter weaves together the storytelling of old school soul, the rough edge of classic Americana, and the intimacy of bedroom pop. Listen to “Fool Me Once”.
Colton Davies

Colton Davies is a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Virginia, the state for “lovers”. Born and raised among its rolling landscapes, his music and lyrics demonstrate heartfelt storytelling and clear folk melodies inspired by his upbringing. Listen to The Purks of Being a Riggs.

Lorraine Leckie & Friends
6:00pm
Lorraine Leckie and Friends is a songwriter showcase and monthly residency at Pete’s Candy Store that comes around every second Monday of the month. Curated by Lorraine, it is an ever changing landscape of talented folks and features 13 songwriters a month. This event is open to the public, and Lorraine is always looking for new blood, so come and join the party!
Sandcastle

Avant-garde fusion rock from a seasoned lineup featuring Roderick Hohl and Eyal Maoz on guitar(s), Russ Meissner on drums, and Tom Shad on bass. Listen to “Ambatya”.
Humble Chuck

His name’s Charlie, and he’s a data scientist, former rock star, and a proud father. A co-founder of Del Water Gap, he’s also a drummer, vibraphonist, and arranger. Listen to some tunes he’s played on.
Turbo Lotus

Ayako Kanda’s vocalizations move like a dance across the canvas of sound—sometimes lyrical, sometimes raw, always authentic. Her voice is both an instrument and a storyteller, weaving textures that range from whispers to wails, from the delicate to the fierce. Listen to the self-titled Turbo Lotus.

Silent Writing Happy Hour

Taking inspiration from the infinite canon of literature past and present, we present weekly short readings, inspiring 30-minute exercises, offering writers the space and direction to write silently and hone their skills. Writers may share their writing, as the spirit and time dictates. The last portion of the evening is devoted to self-directed work on whatever project you have that merits such.
Yellow Room Series Open Mic

Come share your writing, stand-up, poems, or songs without the pressure of perfection. Test it here before you take it everywhere. Built for creatives who want feedback, connection, and a room that actually listens. Messy drafts are welcome.

Trivia

NYC’s finest trivia beckons. Got the brains? Bring your friends and wrack your noodles with six rounds of clever, fun, HARD trivia. The most experienced trivia hosts in the city will test your mental mettle in areas of General Knowledge, Music, Top Tens, and Visual Identification. First Prize is a $75 bar tab, Second Prize is a $40 bar tab and Third Prize is a $15 bar tab. But the real prize (besides bragging rights for those who place, and a berth in the twice yearly finals) is the time honored social scene of the Quizz-Off crowd. Give it a try smart guy!
