Doc Honey
9:30pm
Leo Lovechild
11:00pm
Some call it rock ‘n roll, some call it outlaw sh*t, Leo Lovechild calls it “Skyscraper Country” — a world born in the dive bars and subway cars of the last bastions of the Velvet Underground’s East Village, raised on the twang of Harvest-era Neil Young and the vehemence of mid-70s live Dylan, and finding itself amidst the stark earnestness of Sturgill Simpson and the imaginative vitality of Father John Misty. Lovechild has always toed the line between rock, folk, country, and indie, gaining a reputation through his dynamic live performances, his poignant lyricism and attention to the craft of writing good songs (or at least tryin’), and his unwavering, outsider mentality. Skyscraper Country is out now via Wally Opus Records.
